Started through researches of revival of matsuri (festival) in japan, it is found that these matsuris act as an idealized nostalgia for the modern Japanese people. Kawaii, not only as a national aesthetic but it is also language that helps to create community as it abolishes the difference between different kinds of praises. This aesthetic is being developed as my proposal of a modern matsuri for the contemporary society.

Interior experiences of the Kawaii forms are explored, looking at how specialized experience can be formed inside the forms. Emphasis was placed on sound, which then developed into a karaoke pavilion than can be installed on top of buildings. Special lining of walls are explored through grasshopper, applying a certain acoustic shape that absorbs sound to an interior space.
